Mark Twain Regional Council of Government News

In response to COVID-19 the Mark Twain Regional Council of Governments received funding from the Economic Development Administration to support local communities and promote economic development activities.

In late 2021, nine area organizations were recipients of Shop Local Campaign grants provided by the Mark Twain Regional Council of Governments. The organizations developed campaigns encouraging the patronage of local businesses. The grant funds were used to promote shopping local by advertising on radio stations and in newspapers, hanging banners, and hosting events.

The City of Paris and Perry Chamber were two of the nine.
