Teachers Parade Through the County
As the sun shone brightly on the county Friday, April 3, a long caravan of Ralls County teachers paraded through each town. Signs held out windows and taped on the sides of their vehicles shouted out “We Miss You!” and similar slogans. Kids waved their own signs as they hung out car windows and called out to their teachers.
It wasn’t the classroom camaraderie, but it was a needed boost to everyone’s morale. At present school is suspended through April 15. No one knows if it will resume for the last weeks of classes. What is known is the deep affection between teacher and student that far surpasses online lessons.
A healthy Monroe County requires great community news.
