Ralls County Health Dept Announces New Covid-19 Cases

by Tanya Taylor, Ralls County Health Dept.

The Ralls County Health Department announces 2 additional cases of Covid-19 in Ralls County. Bringing our total cases to 20 with 5 active cases.

In addition to this, there are 3 community events that individuals may have been exposed to Covid-19.

These include:

1. Center Park Days on both Friday, July 24th and Saturday July 25th.

2. Bear Creek Ball Fields on July 25th from 9am to 3pm at field 4.

3. The O'Donnell Funeral Home for a funeral visitation on July 27th and a funeral on July 28th.

Important reminders- it is likely that there are individuals in the community everyday that may not know they have Covid-19. Social distancing is important.

With that being said we are not trying to make everyone worry. If you are considered a close contact you should be contacted by the health department (given that your name was provided to us during contact tracing) and asked to quarantine.

If you are not contacted by the health department you should monitor for signs and symptoms for at least 14 days if you were at one of these events. If you develop symptoms quarantine from others and get tested for Covid or notify your health care provider.
