OATS Transit Provides Affordable Transportation Services for Monroe and Ralls County Residents

OATS Transit continues to provide reliable and affordable transportation for Monroe County residents, offering local, regional, and intercity routes that connect passengers to medical appointments, shopping, employment, and other essential destinations.
Residents wishing to schedule a ride in Monroe County may call 660-415-0901 or 800-654-6287. Reservations are accepted Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., with next-day service requests required by 1 p.m.
Regional Service
OATS Transit offers regularly scheduled transportation to neighboring communities.
Hannibal Service: Available on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday of each month.
Moberly Service: Available on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month.
One-way fares are:
$2 for in-town riders
$3 for county service
$4 for travel to an adjacent county
Seniors 60 years of age and older and individuals with disabilities who ride under the Area Agency on Aging (AAA) contract do not have a fixed fare but are encouraged to make a minimum voluntary contribution for their rides.
Intercity Transportation to Columbia
OATS Transit also provides InterCity service to Columbia, giving passengers convenient access to medical facilities, Amtrak, airports, and city bus systems.
Service is available:
Tuesdays along Highways 61, 36, and 15
Thursdays along Highways 61, 36, and 24
Appointments should be scheduled between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The fare for the Columbia route is $10 round trip, with an additional $1 fee for each en route stop.
Passengers are encouraged to meet the bus at designated pickup locations, although OATS Transit can deviate up to five miles from its route to accommodate riders who are unable to reach an established stop.

Regional Service to Hannibal
OATS Transit offers transportation to Hannibal on the first and third Wednesday of each month. Appointments for this service should be scheduled between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

 $3 for county service
 $4 for travel to an adjacent county

InterCity Service to Quincy and St. Louis
OATS Transit also provides InterCity routes, connecting riders with larger transportation networks, including Amtrak, airports, and city bus services.

 Quincy, Illinois: Available on the second and fourth Thursday of each month via Highways 54 and 61 from Louisiana.
 St. Louis: Available on Wednesdays and Fridays, traveling along Interstate 70 or Interstate 64 as far east as Grand Street. Destinations must be located within five miles of the highway.
Appointments for InterCity service should be scheduled between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.
The fare for InterCity transportation is $10 round trip, with an additional $1 fee for each en route stop.

Ralls County Pickup Location
The designated pickup point for Ralls County riders is:
 New London: Abel's Quick Stop, located at the intersection of U.S. Highway 61 and 1st Street.
Updated Payment System
OATS Transit drivers no longer accept cash or other payments on the bus. Riders must maintain a prepaid account, with fares automatically deducted after each trip. 
To add funds, riders may call the OATS Transit office. A minimum deposit of $10 is required. Payments may be made by credit or debit card, or by mailing a personal check, money order, or cashier's check to the OATS Transit office.
