The Paris Coyotes extracted a little revenge over the Braymer Bobcats, a team that has previously been State ranked and posed problems for the Coyotes. Braymer traveled to Warbritton Stadium with a big, physical, and talented team. The Bobcats took the lead late in the first quarter 6-0, but Paris was able to answer quickly. The Coyotes capped off a 5 play drive with a Luke Ensor to Sawyer Clements 12 yard touchdown pass. The conversion was good from Spencer Minks and Paris led 8-6. The Coyote defense stepped up next as Chase Kendrick intercepted a pass and returned it 42 yards for the touchdown. With the conversion Paris led 16-6 and never looked back. The Coyotes tacked on two second quarter scores both on 40 yard touchdowns. The first on a run from Clements and the second on a pass from Ensor to Logan Mitchell. The Coyotes led 30-6 at halftime. Two more third quarter scores increased the Coyote lead to 44-6 before Braymer had a late answer. Both Paris scores came through the air, the first from Ensor to Mitchell from 12 yards out and the second from Ensor Owen Buie from 4 yards out. Both teams traded fourth quarter touchdowns with Paris' score once again coming from Ensor to Logan Mitchell. With the 52-20 win the Coyotes improved to 3-0 on the season and continued to play impressive football. "We had some mistakes tonight, but overall we played a very good game against a physical opponent. Braymer graduated several players from previous seasons, but they have some pieces back and can play physical football. Our players responded well and took care of business." Coach Cody Carney
The Coyote offense was led by Luke Ensor who completed 14/22 passes for 198 yards and 5 touchdowns. Logan Mitchell led the way with 4 receptions for 64 yards and 3 touchdowns. Sawyer Clements added 3 receptions for 50 yards and a touchdown. Clements also scored a rushing touchdown, but rushing stats were not available at the time this article was written. Payden Crain added 2 receptions for 16 yards. Bryce Wade added 2 for 39 yards and Chase Kendrick 2 for 25 yards.
Defensively the Coyotes put up some big numbers with Brad Skinner leading the way with 14 tackles, 2 for a loss. Payden Crain added 10 tackles, a forced and recovered fumble and 3 passes defensed. Chase Kendrick added 7 tackles and an interception. Gabe Rowe finished with 8 tackles and a sack.
The 3-0 Coyotes return to action next week as they travel to Northland Christian.
