Plan to Attend the Monroe County Historical Society Annual Banquet

The Monroe County Historical Society & Nancy E. Stone Research Center of Paris MO is hosting its annual banquet in Madison this year! 
Did you know there is a group of people who are focused on preserving the history of our county? I have been going to meetings for a year or so now and it is really interesting! It is amazing the amount of history they have preserved! If you think you might be interested, come to this banquet, and get involved! 
It is October 28, 2024 at the Madison Community Center. They are serving a great meal, plus my husband's jazz trio will be playing music and my dad will have a booth selling his "Stories from the Heartland" books for children. Plus, they have an awesome quilt they are selling raffle tickets on. 
It would be a great night to come say hi and stay in touch with the history of our county, plus a good chance to see old friends and catch up. 
There is a charge of $30.00 for the dinner but it is well worth it to support the preservation of our county! If you cannot come to this, consider supporting the activities of the group by becoming a member. It is only $10.00 a year so it is quite a bargain. And...come to the meetings once a month! I come away from them feeling so invigorated! It is all about us, our families, and those who came before us!
