Sandra "Sandy" S. Distler

Sandra "Sandy" S. Distler, 79, of New London, Missouri, passed away at 2:20 PM Monday, June 8, 2020, at Willow Care Center in Hannibal, MO.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 AM, Friday, June 12, 2020 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Father Mike Quinn will officiate.

Burial will be at Holy Family Catholic Cemetery in Hannibal, MO.

There will be no visitation. A Rosary Service will be held at 9:30 AM, Friday at Holy Family Catholic Church.

The family is being served by the James O'Donnell Funeral Home in Hannibal, MO.

Sandra was born November 22, 1940, in Centertown, Missouri to Bill Higgins and Fanchon Hutchison Higgins.

She was married to Jerry Distler on October 14, 1967 at St. Peters Catholic Church in Jefferson City, MO. He survives.

Other survivors include 2 daughters, Tammy Lynn Fowler (Richard) of Center, MO and Wendy Nichols (Matt) of New London, MO, 4 grandchildren, Bri Parkins (Dan), Zach Nichols, Alex Nichols and Hannah Nichols and 3 great grandchildren, Gray, Vivienne and Vale.

Sandy is preceded in death by her parents.

Professionally Sandy worked as a bookkeeper for Superior Heating and Air Conditioning for over 20 years.

Sandy loved shopping, dining out, watching the Hallmark Channel and arranging flowers. She most enjoyed the times she spent with her family and visiting her kids.

Sandy was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Hannibal, MO.

Memorial contributions may be made to Community Loving Care Hospice.

Pallbearers will be Donald Distler, Terry Volkart, Bob Anderson, Matt Nichols, Zach Nichols and Dan Parkins.

Honorary pallbearers will be Richard Fowler, Doug Distler and Wes Distler.
