You Are Invited to Cruise for a Cause

March 29, 2020

Who: ALL of Monroe County welcome

When: Friday April 3rd 6-8pm

Where: Paris, MO- turn around spots are MFA in South End of town and then circle the courthouse. That way we will have plenty of spots for people to park and watch

WHAT: social distancing with a twist. EVERYONE is to remain INSIDE their vehicle AT ALL TIMES... Honking/Waving/Listening/Singing to music with your family

* for years, our children have heard stories about cruising the strip back in the day, let’s bring this to life!

Goal: Spreading Hope & Joy & still being SAFE

The Appeal will be live feeding the cruise from the back of Robin Gregg’s truck (whose husband, Jimmy, will also be cruising in a white Supercrew Ford F150), wave, yell, honk, and smile! Let’s have a fun night together, but, at a safe distance!

Monroe County Sheriff, David Hoffman, says “Break out the old muscle cars, bikes, trucks and watch the smiles! Show the kids what old time cruising was all about!”

Recently a car cruise in Shelbina was a huge success. They collected over 250 items for the food bank, around 170 vehicles participated. Can Paris top it?

Please don't forget, there is a lot more truck traffic in Paris with the detour of Highway 24. There will be Missouri State Highway Patrols, Sheriff’s Department, and Emergency Vehicles present to control and participant in the cruise.

Robin will be contacting Faithwalk this week to work out the non-perishable food donations. Details to be posted on the Facebook Event entitled “Cruisin for a Cause”

Monroe City is having a Cruise as well on April 4th from 6-8pm. You are invited to attend as well.
