Mark Twain Students Earn Academic Letters

Sophomores who received their academic letter recently are, in no particular order: Thomas Barnes, Lauren Booth, Alaina Brown, Mariah Clements, Destiny Davis, Madison Epperson, Brooklyn Gaines, Hunter Golian, Kadence Hawn, Allie Maziarke, Lukas McLeod, Summer Miller, Adelynn Palmer, Lakoda Preston, Audrey Ross, Kaycie Simpson, Abigail Wilson, and Nola Wittland. Not pictured are Brandon Black, Mason Fullenwider, Dansel Stanley, and Colin Trower.
Juniors who received their academic bar recently are, in no particular order: Autumn Arndt, Isaak Clarkson, Anna Echternacht, Emily Evans, Jackson Jung, Samantha Lehenbauer, Ashlyn Lipp, Hannah Mallory, Sahira Martinez, Debra Murfin, Elizabeth Northcutt, William Owen, Delanee Ross (she received her letter), and Riley Waters. Not pictured are Riley Brown, Kenleigh Epperson, Emma Ford, Brandon Fullenwider, Kaylee Hammock, Emma Houchins, Tori Lunsford, Krayleigh Power, and Brandon Wisdom.
Academic letters were presented at an assembly at Mark Twain High School. Students who have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher after three semesters receive a MT Letter or a gold bar.
Students can earn an academic letter, which has “Academic” on it, after the first semester of their sophomore year. After receiving an academic letter, students receive a gold bar for continuing to maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher in subsequent years.
